Jessica Allen, a surrogate mom from California gave birth to twins but later found that one of them is biologically hers.
Allen became pregnant with her own child while she was carrying a baby for a Chinese couple. This medical rarity is called superfetation, meaning that Allen naturally ovulated while already pregnant.
The surrogate mother did not see the babies when they were born, but the intended mother sent her a photo of the ‘twins’, revealing her doubts.
DNA testing confirmed that Allen was indeed the baby’s genetic mother.
