For the majority of women, the real post-birth body is nothing like that portrayed by celebrities and the media.
Elise Raquel, an Australian mom of three, shared a photo of her body just hours after giving birth to her daughter Willa. The result is an honestly raw image of a new mom in all her strength and vulnerability.
The mom called on other women to embrace their postpartum bodies noting, “I am NOT ashamed of my (many) new stripes and my postpartum body. And neither should you! Let’s celebrate postpartum bodies, in all their glory.”
